LOCAL-LOCAL-LOCAL Things to see and do!

The committee--as it is now known--began this endeavor with an amazing amount of moxie, and a sorry lack of experience in Parade Planning. While it is true that most of the members did indeed have Event Planning experience under their belts, it immediately became evident that festivals and parades have their own unique--shall we call them, "Challenges".

Thankfully there were others in the community that have done this before, and happily stepped up to give us their hard earned tips of the trade, (who knew you need to be up the night before the event using special paint that we've yet to find to mark off where each entry starts)? We thank them for that! In addition to selling them our first born heirs, we have also decided to include links to their events here. Hopefully you will discover--

  City Hall will be on the parade route. City Hall holds City Council meetings every other Wednesday, they are open to the public. It is a great way to hear history in the making. Other regular, public friendly meetings include, Aberdeen Planning Commission and Next door to City Hall is APD, home of Aberdeen's finest. The City Hall fountain has a place in many citizen's historical memories--We'll leave it to you to either remember or wonder why...
